Industrial Portrait – Paper Box Manufacturing

industrial-worker-location-safety-portrait

We did an industrial portrait in a box plant that pushes out thousands of feet of box material.  Our clients produce the glue that the plant uses so they have reps who constantly monitor the manufacturing to make sure that their product maintains the specs the manufacturer requires.

Presidents Day – Goodbye to a president…

lobiondo-afbf2016-stallman-lastspeech_0503This year’s American Farm Bureau Convention is over.  5 days and over 75000 steps (my phone kept track)! Also, a new president.  Bob Stallman has been president for 16 years.  His office was in DC but his rice and cattle farm is in Texas.  I’m sure he’s logged many miles over the 16 years representing American farmers around the world.  In my experience, he’s a humble man with a quick smile.  This image is from his last speech during a standing ovation.  But time moves on.  The new president is a farmer from Georgia named Zippy.  Yes, I love the southerners and their nicknames.  But for now, here’s to Bob.  I hope he gets some well deserved rest.

The day after Fat Tuesday…

cello,wrapped,new orleans,mardi gras,fat tuesday,ash wednesday

Fat Tuesday is over and so is Mardi Gras.  Pack up your instruments, put away your beads and Lent begins.  This wrapped-up cello was all by itself in Lincoln Park and seemed to be resting from the festivities.

B2B Tribe Profiles – Not your usual athletes

Alternative athletes for Editorial MagazineIf you haven’t gotten your latest B2B Tribe magazine, you can look at it here.  Small business owners sometimes make for unusual athletes.  These are just 3 of the small business owners profiled in the latest issue that we photographed.  Twila Adams is Holistic Nail Care Services by day, but has won many medals as a wheel-chair tennis player.  Noelle DeAtley is Creative Thinking Group by day and knows her way around Nunchaku (the girl can swing).  Nathan Richie owns NR Creative Group and his martial arts skills are very impressive.  These folks are serious about the athletic training whether on the court or on the mat.

Veterans Day 2015

P47-airshow-restored-veteransday

To acknowledge veterans who served our country, I found this image I photographed a few years ago at the Millville NJ Airshow. This airfield was a training field for P47’s during WWII and has a museum with lots of memorabilia from that time (P47Millville).  These are restored P47’s and they make a distinct sound when flying by. So, thank a veteran today and shake their hand.

South Carolina State House – A Grand Building as History is being made…

The South Carolina State House has a storied history.  Architects who were fired or died, burning down the building  (the original and its second), cantankerous legislation (past and present), hiding of marble…it goes on and on.  You can read more here. Now, they get to decide, again, on how the building will look.  Here are 3 versions of the same grand building.  How will it look in the future?
